Beware "Brown" Oct 29, 2008
Firstly, I love these boots. However, this review is more of a Public Service Announcement:
If you are looking for the "BROWN" style desert boot, e.g. a medium brown that is not suede, do not order "BROWN" listed here. You will get "BROWN SUEDE", the dark, ugly, painted-sole ugly stepchild of the desert boot family.

Still wearing them since the '60's (but NOT the same ones) and still enjoying the comfort and versatility. They "go" with anything, great for travel, and if they get to grungy for you, put them in the shower with you once in awhile...they can take it...

I've been wearing Clarks for decades. They haven't changed a thing since British Officer's were wearing them while chasing Rommel across North Africa! Simply the finest "desert boots" on earth!

The best shoe I've ever owned. I love them and will buy more in the future. Along with Levi's these never go out of style...at least as far as I'm concerned.

The boots are quite comfortable and, in my opinion, good-looking. Time will tell if they hold up to the rigors of wear, but for now I'm satisfied. The seller, Gabriel Shoes, was prompt and helpful. Even after having to return the original pair for one a half-size larger, the exchange was made and shipped back to me within a few days. Good footwear and good service; I am happy.
