5Columbia Sportswear Men's Open Bottom 3-in-1 Leather Jacket, Black  Apr 06, 2008
This is an amazingly nice jacket. The Columbia name meant something, of course, I hadn't even realized they made leather clothing items, but it is a lot like other Columbia jackets in that it's a 3-in-1. You can wear the leather jacket with the polartec lining when it's colder, just the leather jacket, or just the lining which looks like a regular Columbia polartec jacket. They are easy to zip back together, also. It's one of the nicest leather jackets I've ever seen, & the price I got it at was incredible. The fit seems true to size. Wonderful gift for a man or woman. Haven't had a chance to test out it's waterproofness yet, but I don't doubt what they say.

3heavy, but nice, fleece coat has polyster lining  Mar 22, 2008
Its a nice coat. here are the pros and cons.
pros:
looks nice
leather looks high quality
decent style, though not highly fashionable
keeps you nice and warm
true to size.

cons:
1)very heavy, so much so that if I hold it in my hands for 5 mins, my shoulders would ache.I am a woman and this jacket is for my husband.
2)the inner fleece coat that is zipped to the leather jacket is nice, but a big bad thing: the surface touching the skin is not fleece, but polyster. what is the use of fleece coat if what touches you inside is a polyster lining? so my hubby reverses it and wears so that the fleece touches the body, but this way it cant be zipped to the outer jacket.
3) the lining of the outer jacket without the fleece insesrted is also ot too good considering one wants to wear it without the inner coat.
3) zippers are not very easy to pull up.pulling down is easy though.
no zipper pockets for the inside jacket. just big pockets, would have referred zipper.
overall its a nice coat, but not something to long for.

5Gorgeous   Mar 17, 2008
I ordered this jacket after reading Kayo and G. Harris' reviews, and after spending days trying to find a jacket to buy for my boyfriend's birthday. He wanted something really warm that he could wear formally as well as casually, and this jacket is perfect. It's gorgeous, and he loves it. He's been wearing the fleece by itself a lot as well. Neither of us could believe the quality for the price, and that it's a Columbia.

5What a bargain. Great leather coat, heavy for winter.  Mar 07, 2008
I wonder why this one seems to be so drastically marked down. The retail price was $395? That's amazing. I got it for $99.99 and I feel like I got a real bargain. A complaint is that just one week after I bought mine the price dropped by another $20. :(

It is a nice jacket with a zip in fleece lining and the result is a covering that will keep anybody warm. I only have one criticism of the jacket. The fleece lining adds it's own collar to the very nice leather collar. It looks a bit silly and redundant, but such a fashion faux pas is relatively irrelevant to the overall niceness of this particularly piece of warm cloting. You will look good in this. More importantly, though, you will feel good in it.

5Great Quality, Great Value  Jan 17, 2008
First off I'd just like to say thanks to Kayo, I would not have purchased this item without her review as there were no detailed images.

Because there were no particularly good pictures of this coat, I went ahead and added my own (see the customer-added pictures link below the default image at the top-left of the page).

With the inner fleece coat inserted, this is a bulky, warm jacket. Very warm. I will likely very rarely ever wear this with the fleece coat inserted for this reason, but with it it's as warm of a coat as I'll ever need.

When it's really cold outside, the inner fleece collar is very comfortable (no cold leather touching the skin). It can be a double-edged sword though; I wouldn't want to be wearing this with the insert in the rain/snow as the fleece collar would obviously get soaked, you'd want to flip it down out of the way in that case.

The hand-warming pockets are great, it's a nice soft material inside. The sleeves are a tad long for my arms, though I actually like this; when I put my hands in the pockets, I can put part of the sleeves in the pocket as well, creating a sort of "seal" with the leather of the sleeves and the leather around the pockets, so even in really cold windy weather my hands stay warm. I actually generally prefer it to gloves.

The leather jacket is double-stitched throughout the whole jacket, the zippers are large and sturdy, even on the fleece coat.

The only real gripe I can think of is how the zipper tab on the leather jacket will stick out when you let go of it after zipping the jacket up. This is because the leather is really close together around the zipper, keeping it from dangling normally. So you have to kinda tuck it in-between the leather if you don't want it poking out a bit awkwardly.

Another thing I found a bit lacking is how the inside of the leather jacket is a bit coarse and uncomfy compared to everything else, but that's a major nit-pick and obviously completely irrelevant with the fleece coat inserted.
