Great Jacket, Kept me warm. Feb 19, 2008
I live in Hawaii with average winter temperature in the 70's to low 80's. Bought this jacket because of a trip to San Francisco this past weekend (Feb 16-18). I ordered black because I don't look good with plum or green. The temperature in San Francisco ranges from 45F to about 60F. I wore a typical Hawaiian 100% cotton T-shirt, Jeans, and Columbia Rosella Ridge Jacket. The hood kept my head warm and I never have to add any other clothing (just T-shirt and this jacket). I like to travel light. This jacket can be folded and fit into a carry-on. I bought it when it was priced at $44.95. Columbia Sportswear Women's Rosella Ridge Jacket

I can see how some might like this jacket well enough but unfotunately it did not live up to my expectations. The fabric feels weird to me & it seems to be an odd length. it's kind of boxy shaped which is ok b/c it's a sport jacket, but it seems to be a little TOO boxy. Plus it is too short. I expected it to be longer, the same length as most sport jackets, but it isn't. Overall it's not quite what i was looking for so i will send it back. but it does seem to be well made & the color was accurate to the photo. (i got the wasabi color)

This jacket is made with good materials. The only problem is that it is too tight under the arm not good for moving around, this jacket was too small for me. Too bad.

Everything is perfect. The fit is great, it's VERY warm, and indeed waterproof. I would definitely buy a Columbia jacket again, I'm in love with it. I'm using it now while I work in Iraq as a contractor- it's cold and rainy and muddy in the winter but the jacket has kept me toasty and dry.
