Soft, wonderful, warm coat! Feb 09, 2008
I'm very happy with my Jones New York hooded coat. I live in Iowa and I know what cold is this winter! The coat feels soft, like a blanket wrapped around you. And the hood is great for blocking out the wind. I'm definitely satisfied with my purchase. And I have Jones New York quality.

Very poor quality coat Feb 08, 2008
This coat was very very very thin and offered no warmth at all. It was not worth the money. Also the hood was very small. The whole coat looked as if the manufacturer was trying to save money on fabric. For a size 14 it was very very smoog.

Not a good buy at all for $100. Would not recommend this coat to anybody.

Big sizing problem Feb 08, 2008
Although the fabric and detailing were beatiful, the sizing was way off. I typically wear an 8 or 10 petite. I tried on a size 8 in a local department store and found it to large. I thought the size 6 would be perfect and would never have considered ordering a size 4. The size 6 was extremely large and just hung on me. This experience makes me very hesitant to purchase clothing on line and angry to have wasted money to return a coat that should have fit.

Great deal on Jones New York Coat! Jan 23, 2008
It is hard to find a nice coat with a hood that is not too casual. I had originally purchased this coat at Macy's. The original price was $400 and I bought it on sale for $180 - which I thought was a good deal. Out of curiosity I was trying to find the coat on the internet. I was really surpised when it came up on Amazon for $119.99. I was skeptical because there was not a lot of information however I did find the item number and it matched the coat I bought. Now I am not a returner or a price adjuster person generally but in this case that is a big difference and on Amazon they said the original price was $250. Ithe next day I ordered the coat. It had been reduced by another $10. $99.99 and the shipping was free. I took the other coat back first though and printed the page from Amazon thinking, without much hope, that Macy's would do a price adjustment - I think the young sales clerk wanted to but she could not match the internet price - so back it went. When I got the coat I was delighted. It was the same in everyway. It is generously sized and very soft and luxurious. I hadn't really shopped on Amazon before. I thought they were books and music. Before a bigger buy I always check here first.

I had purchased this coat from Nordstroms I believe in a camel color Do to unnoticed weight loss I had become a 4 not the 6 I ordered.
No company had this coat in the camel color I really wanted. So when I saw a 4 on Amazon.com (black)
A problem because I have a startling white golden retiever. I snapped it up at over half the price. Great coat for gental woman ranchers, very nice cut and material but not dressy. Found white shearling and camel hair coats to deal with my dog problems. Helen Will check in with Amazon befor each purchase from the right kind of stores. Being large or smaller size helps in this hunt.
