Saucony Grid Triumph - Good for me Aug 22, 2008 I'm a 185 pound neutral runner, averaging about 20-40 miles per week in preparation for a marathon. For my flat feet and normal volume feet, these shoes are perfect for me. I've tried Nikes and they are generally too narrow. Price is right if you can find them on sale - $70 vs $120 new.
Comfy Aug 09, 2008 The more confortable shoe I've ever used..
Get a half size up.. They're awesome..
Love this running shoe Jul 13, 2008 This has been a great shoe for me. It has a roomy toe box and the heal is snug, no slip. I'm 217 pounds and it has just the right amount of cush for me. I tried the Nike Air Zoom Vomero, but it was too squishy. The Triumph 5 is out now, so when it's time for some new running shoes I will eb giving those a try. I've been very happy with the shoe, no blisters. I have the white with blue trim.
Sneaker Jul 09, 2008 Saucony makes an incredible sneaker. The Progrid is light, durable and comfortable. Highly recommend this brand.
Mixed impression but great shoe overall Jun 21, 2008 *** Pros ***
Light. Great for 5k-10k runs.
Excellent foot ventilation.
Your toes will be happy with a comfortable toe box.
Stable heel and arch guide the foot well.
At its best when going at 10k pace.
Very good cushioning, especially under the forefoot.
*** Cons ***
The gold color and overall design is is a "love it or hate it".
Heel cushioning is not enough and feels a bit low compared to the forefoot's.
Avoid slow jogs with this model. The arch support becomes uncomfortable.
If you don't tie these shoes rather tightly, you will develop blisters just under your feet's arches.
Size discrepancy over your average shoe is +0.5-1.0, so make sure you try them on first.
