Really good shoes Dec 22, 2008
Let me just start off by complimenting Amazon for having these shoes listed. I tried purchasing directly from the Skechers website and the size I was looking for was unavailable for quite a while. I also tried a number of other online retailers coming up with no luck. I was in desperate need of finding a replacement for my heavily worn-out pair so my thanks go to Amazon for at least connecting me with a retailer listed on their site that had what I was looking for. The price was very reasonable and the shipping time was very fair, if not better than fair. The transaction overall was very smooth.

Now, regarding the shoes. I've found Skechers Oxfords (and the like) to be very comfortable shoes. For the past 3 years, sneakers aside, I've had no other brand of shoe on my feet other than Skechers simply because they fit my feet well and they are very comfortable shoes. This 14 XW is considerably large, even on my foot, but still very comfortable despite the extra room.

These Skechers do last quite a while. Comfortable. The only thing is that the shoe strings seem to break too soon, but for a few dollars, a new set of strings is alot cheaper than having to purchase new shoes.

I just ordered a pair of these shoes for my husband. It will be his third pair - same color, same size, same everything. He LOVES them. Very comfy, sized well, lasts forever, and can be worn with pretty much everything he owns. He wears them everyday to work and couldn't be happier with them.

I started a new job where I would be on my feet, on concrete all day and wanted a durable pair of work shoes that didn't require a break-in period, protected my feet and looked fine for casual dress. I ordered these and got everything I wanted. I even got them at a really good price by using the first time Amazon card offer. Best money I spent on shoes.

Skechers are quite possibly the cheapest, worst shoes ever made. I tried on this very shoe at a shoe store and when tightening the laces the eyelet popped out - just trying them on. Others I know have had countless problems with their Skechers as well. Poor stiching that unravels after only a few uses, eyelets that bend or break off, emblems or logos on the shoe that fall off, and so on. If you're interested in a good looking, hip and trendy, cheap shoe to wear once or twice, then Skechers is your shoe - but if quality is a concern, then don't bother.
