5I love this coat!  Mar 25, 2008
This coat is of a much higher quality than I expected. The material is tough, soft, and water proof. It is very well stitched and put together. It looks and feels like a $200 coat for a fraction of that price.

5Warm and functional  Mar 06, 2008
I like this jacket very much. It keeps me warm all the time out of the door. So many pockets for all kinds of stuffs, iPod, cell phone, etc. All in all, love this one very much.
The only thing is it is a little heavy, but not a big deal.

5great coat  Feb 11, 2008
I bought a weatherproof coat wanting it for michigan winter weather while on vacation. It is a very warm coat even with it's light weight. I'm so glad I got it, its perfect. The inside pockets come in handy for cell phone and other items.I wanted a black but it wasn't available, the vapor color is fine.

5Well made excellent product  Feb 06, 2008
I bought the black variation. Excellent product. A jacket of this quality could be expected to be $200-300 at a department store. As well made as my more expensive jackets. Well constructed. As others have said, is very high quality. I expect this to last for a very long time. I've tried on about 7 different Columbia parkas and this looks better than all of them. Not nearly as bulky as the ones I tried on. Is very warm. Very happy I went with this jacket instead of a columbia parka.

4Very nicely detailed midweight coat  Jan 27, 2008
I inadvertently ordered Vapor instead of black. The Vapor color is not as white as 97 bright paper like my notebook screen led me to believe. Its more of a light light grey. I wanted a mediumish weight coat so I could layer a light fleece sweater under it when temps dropped to the teens and I could use it without a layered sweater while traveling.
The detailing, however is very good. Pockets are lined with fleecy material that is nicely warm. Chest exterior pockets are zippered as are the hip pockets. The lining above the belt line is covered with a tight ventilated mesh. Fleece lines the interior below the belt line. Two interior open top patch pockets on the rightside. Upper for cellphone and lower below the beltline is a bit larger with what looks like a loop for a pen. Left side upper interior is zippered pouch between the shell and lining with an elastic cable looped thru the zipper pull that disappears into the shell/lining boarder at the bottom of the pocket. A larger bellow pocket with a velcro flap is below the beltline with an icon for an Apple Video sized device. Front is zippered with covered button down flap. Fleecy edging at the top of the collar.
Anyways, I got it yesterday and used it in 5 deg weather. For me, the XL sizing is a bit on the shy side (or I've gotten a little wider this winter). Well, its not roomy enough for me to get my fleece sweater on underneath. Walking from my car to the office (100-150ft), I felt the cold creeping through. At the end of the day, I spent 10 minutes or so brushing the new snow off my car and really missed the sweater layer as I felt the cold creeping thru the coat. This one isn't roomy enough for double duty as an airport traveler as well as short trips outside, so it'll just be for the air traveling I do.
