2Short lifespan  Aug 22, 2008
I had a pair of the previous version of these shoes, which were great and lasted for ages.

Unfortunately, these do not seem to be the same quality. A couple of the gray ridges on the front part of the sole wore through completely after less than 400 miles (3 months), which is the shortest lifespan of any running shoes I've had. Given that these are some of Adidas' top of the line shoes, and my experience with the previous version, I really expected a lot more out of them. They were great for the short time they lasted, but I would not buy them again.

5Great support for the arch! I keep buying these again and again.  May 08, 2008
These shoes were recommended to me by a professional marathon runner/triathlete, who works at a local running shop here in Houston. I am part of a marathon running group and I burn through about 5 pairs of these a year. They are a GREAT shoe for a larger framed runner, who is more in need of a shoe with adequate control. (I'm nearly 5'9" and weigh about 150.) I have very high arches, and they've also helped to ease any issues I might normally have with my plantar fascia.

If you're going to use ANY shoes to run, and run more than just 10 miles a week, I strongly suggest hitting up a store that specializes in running, with trained professionals on hand to observe your overall gait, watch you run on a treadmill (most good running stores have them in their shops), and observe the wear on your old shoes to best determine the proper shoe for you. Once you find that out, you can buy the rest of your pairs on here or some other warehouse. It is money well spent, because if you save a ton of money on your shoes and spend it all in the doctors office later, or get knocked down by injury and can't complete your running goals have you really saved anything at all?!

5loving every step  Apr 05, 2008
I'm a former ballerina, so my feet have some years of abuse behind them, and I appreciate really comfortable, supportive shoes. I love the support of these shoes! It actually took a couple days for my feet to get used to them, because they were so supportive compared to my K-Swisses. I was a little apprehensive because I'd never before purchased shoes without trying them on, but I am completely happy with these.

5Adidas running shoes  Mar 25, 2008
I don't normally buy running shoes without trying them on first. However these were on sale and I liked the colors. Turns out these are awesome running shoes. The day they arrived, I tried them on and ran a 28 min 5k!. Really good support and comfortable. The ipod sensor attaches easily to the laces and gives very accurate readings. I totally recommend these to any runner or walker!

5Great shoes, well worth it!!  Mar 20, 2008
Looks:

I bought these shoes in the Granit color - it's a much brighter orange than shown in the picture. I love bright clothes and shoes that stand out and if that describes you, you'll love how these shoes look. Of course, it also attracts a lot of attention and I noticed more than a few people on the subway discussing them. So if you're not looking for attention, you might want to keep away from these :)

Comfort:

They're extremely comfortable and I sometimes even use them as walking shoes. My only minor complaint is that the width is quite narrow, and hurts my toes a little. I usually wear wide width although I've never had to do that with athletic shoes so these do seem a little narrow. I bought them half a size bigger for more leg room, so that seemed to help a little.
Otherwise they provide excellent cushioning, comfort, etc and they're great.

Overall:

Excellent buy, I love them! I might buy the blue/silver ones next. I just wish they had Wide width.
